First post in way too long. First proper use of my flashes for BMX and one trigger wasn’t working…

f/1.4 Life

A while back I picked up a Pentax ESII with a 50 f/1.4 from Salvo’s. Lens could do with some internal cleaning, but I couldn’t care, so I threw a roll of Fuji 400 through. 1.4 is ridiculous! especially on no-crop. Damn, I love film!

I love this shot of Jesper! Such a great weekend to end summer, camping and beach 4x4ing

I don’t know that I could have got down to f/1.4 in the sun, but the bokeh on this lens is epic.

Figured I’d give a double exposure a shot. Gotta learn about proper exposure to get the effects I’m after.

Not long after my parents lost their mind.

Jesper’s Rig – Touring Spec

Just set up a fresh cage, and roof racks on Jesper’s 4Runner. The thing looks excellent in 4×4 tourer spec now. Went for photos quickly at Clareville Beach. I’ve been on so many great journeys in this car now. So much fun! I love it.

Disposable Cameras & Long Lasting Memories

I’ve just got back 2 rolls of film off disposables. The first, an 800 ISO with Flash, badboy which expired in 2004, which cost me the princely sum of 2 bucks at Salvos, the second, a brand new waterproof one I bought on my way to Beach Mission in December. I love being able to take such average photos with such cheap crap cameras, that leave such great memories. Film is the best.

Stockton Beach 4x4ing

Camped over night at Stockton Beach with mates Jesper and Alex, on Saturday, then hit the dunes for some 4x4ing on Sunday. Such an amazing place to explore and take photos! Especially at night. Mostly just had the kit lenses out on the digital, but shot a bit of film, and also just picked up an older EOS 70-210 f/4, and 58mm CPL, so got to use them a bit. Unfortunately most of the late night long exposures weren’t very sharp, due to the windy conditions, and low light. Still happy with a few snaps.

Year old HP5

Got a roll back of shots on Ilford HP5 today. The roll has been sitting in my room for about a year, undeveloped. so happy to get it back. Not much to look at. Really, just happy snaps, but I love being taken back to the memories.

Fresh Film

Just finished and had scanned, an expired roll of 800 ISO Fuji press film. Out of direct sunlight I really like the high ISO capabilities, and the old school feel of the grain and colours, but it has a tendency to wash out. Most shots taken at Shoal Bay. Photos of me, by my sister. I LOVE FILM!

Barrenjoey Lighthouse

Long time no post. Back shooting lots more, now it’s summer. Took a walk up Barrenjoey Headland with Jesper for photos and to cohabitate with ticks. Also a shot of his new car.

Benny’s new car.

Snapped some photos of Ben’s new car the other night, outside the factory. Fixed lighting only. Pretty happy with the murky film noir feel.

Porsche work

Long time no post. Had an advert I’ve made while on internship, and an article plus photos from our tarmac rally printed in the latest Porsche Club NSW magazine.
